Disability Snowsport
I have chosen Disability Snowsport as the charity to which I will donate a pound from each book sale. I decided on Disability Snowsport because I love skiing and having enjoyed 25 years or so of skiing I really want to help make it accessible to everyone, everywhere and Disability Snowsport are experts at doing just that. I first saw them at work in about 1983 in Austria and ever since then I’ve been a supporter of the charity.
You can help them by taking part in their many events. Go to www.disabilitysnowsport.org.uk/current-events for more information.
Disability Snowsport UK is a nationwide registered charity providing access to snowsports for those with disabilities. We provide therapeutic, life-enhancing and, most importantly, exciting activities for individuals and groups who require adaptive
equipment and special instruction and support. Our work takes many forms, such as dedicated adaptive snowsports schools, overseas activity weeks, a schools and youth programme, 13 local groups operating regularly across the UK and the provision of training for specialist instructors and volunteers.
